Dr. Hanna and Dr. Howard (Federico) Frederick have been attending the Starr King UUF, Plymouth NH prior to moving to Lakeside. They have recently bought a house in Riberas.
Dr. Hanna is a Hungarian-American. She arrived in the US at age 33. She trained in Hungary as a PhD chemist at the University of Eotvos Lorand. Hanna started off as analytical laboratory leader in Cleveland, then as an adjunct chemistry professor in CT and DC. Later, she did environmental consulting, foreign direct investment and held smart city manager positions in the US, Hungary and New Zealand.
Dr. Hanna then launched her real passion – chocolatiere – with companies in New Zealand and Australia. She sold her biggest venture, Mamor Chocolates, Inc. in Melbourne, AU. (See www.mamorlegacy.com) and moved to Puebla, Mexico, then Plymouth, NH, following her husband’s academic jobs. She has two children, born in the US to her first (Transylvanian) husband. Her parents were also Transylvanian, and they were related to the Kolozsvar Unitarians. Dr. Hanna states that she has always loved writing, sciences and music. She sang for many years in her youth. But her true hobby became baking, cooking and creating chocolates and gelatos for guests.
She made chocolates for the Plymouth (NH) UU, and would like to continue making them here from Mexican (Tabasco) beans, for fundraising. Ajijic has a great climate for artisan chocolates and truffles. Her recent COVID-time project is www.dietdesires.com, a food blog. It intends to help people to cook creatively by her tailored diet recipes.
Dr. Howard (Federico) has forty-three years teaching at university level in USA, Mexico, New Zealand, Australia, Austria, and Germany in the fields of new media and business innovation/entrepreneurship. Interested in hiking and travel, longevity and diet, current affairs and politics, he is a specialist in Design Thinking, and has taught thousands of entrepreneurs. He is fluent in Spanish and German. He has his own blog and Vimeo channel.
