In Greek mythology, Sisyphus was punished for cheating death by being compelled to roll a heavy boulder uphill, only to see it roll back down just as he reached the top. We consider meaningless and difficult tasks to be Sisyphean in nature, and we worry that such tasks in life can lead to depression. How do we deal with the Sisyphean tasks in our lives? How do we reflect on aspects of our life history that were pointless and arduous? We’ll explore the stones we, too, roll. Rev. Matt Alspaugh will give the message and Dee Dee Camhi will be the service leader.
