Author Brené Brown writes that “Connection is the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard and valued; when they can give and receive without judgment; and when they derive sustenance and strength from the relationship.” However, the most important and first connection we must make to truly succeed in connecting with others is the one we make with our own selves. The Rev. Tim Boeve, a retired Protestant minister from California and current resident of Ajijic will explore the benefits of making strong connections with others and with ourselves. In today’s world when so many people feel isolated and alone, the ability to make significant connections with others is more important than ever. Our very lives may depend upon it.
