Serve LCUUF

There are many ways to become involved with our fellowship. Volunteering not only helps our congregation, but helps you become better acquainted with those of us who have made the move to Mexico and call LCUUF our special community.

We encourage all our members to serve in some capacity. Many work on committees or serve on the Board. Others have selected areas where they can contribute their skills on a more individual basis, such as serving on the Tech Team or producing our newsletter. 

Ways to Volunteer

Here are some ways you can volunteer your time and skills:

  • Membership & Welcome Committee – greeting and helping newcomers
  • Hospitality – Bringing refreshments to services or gatherings, planning lunches and dinners and parties. Or better yet, organizing some volunteer teams to do this!
  • Legacy Team – helping with bequests and donations
  • Pledge Team – working on our annual funding drive
  • Social Action Team – help in planning, facilitating, educating, and participating in actions and events that make a difference in the world and local community.
  • Sunday Service Committee – Being a lay leader of a service or speaking at a service, attend a quarterly planning meeting where we plan the service basics of the next three months.
  • Tech Team – Noticed our YouTube site? Are you into video production, web services, social media, and technology? We need Admins for our Facebook page or Twitter feed.
  • Care Team – our team supports members by responding and communicating appropriately to concerns.
  • Music – may include playing music or singing at services
  • Forming, Leading or Assisting with a social group or event, such as the Women’s Group, Men’s Group, Meditation, Humanist Discussion, suggest or form a new interest group!
  • Writing articles for the weekly newsletter
  • Assisting the Treasurer with duties, such as collecting donations at services or assisting with pledges.
  • Serving on the Board of Directors (elected positions)
  • And volunteering in a myriad of other ways!
